Joy mo-sheen!
Sometimes I like to roll out a sheet of bubblewrap on the floor and then *stomp* on it until all the bubbles have popped.
On friday, I went out for a pub lunch with the people from work. It was HOT. Spent the whole hour watching everyone slowly turn pink and wondering why they had chosen to sit on the only table without a sun umbrella. Was very glad I am a prepared person [tm] and have a tube of suncream in my desk at work. British people seem to do that a lot. Strange, isn't it?
Later on, I went to Alica's housewarming party. Oddly, I was looking forward to it (she's a work colleague) - think it had something to do with the fact that she had been stressing out about it for the last two weeks, spent £80 on beer and mixers and had told everyone what sort of food and drink to bring... If a party *that* well organised is going to be crap, then there's no hope for any of us, is there?
All in all, it wasn't bad... I found something suitable to wear (not too "weird") and was delighted that no-one recognised me with my hair tied back and some make-up on. (I normally look like a bog monster at work: no point dressing up to hack your way through Japanese Knotweed...) The top moment of the evening had to be Lee (our Ricky Gervais lookalike), who was mullered, and did the Del boy falling through the bar thing when he leant on a gate which wasn't locked... (He took me out on the way down, which I thought was hillarious... got a cut on my arm and a load of free beer!)

xxxrated and Cathy and Felix from work. Highlight of the day had to be the caravan race, when a load of cars chased a caravan round the track, then the lead car drove through it, demolished the entire thing and ended up *on top* of the car which had been towing it (they did 2 laps of honour after that one!)...
I have decided that I would like to race bangers as the idea of driving a car with three working wheels (all at quirky angles), a completely crushed back end, the doors held shut with old radiators and smoke and fuel spewing from it really really appeals... Anyone got a car they'd like to lend me???lucien_dark How's yours?
