Who's up for a bit of Troma? Sgrîn have just announced the details of the 15th annual Cardiff Screen Festival. It's running between November 14th and 22nd and one of the themes is:

Troma
30 years of low-budget cult movies - you've been warned!

There aren't any details about the films they will be showing on the website as yet, but as tickets will be available on November 1st, they should be updating it pretty soon.

Has the Church gone mad? Yesterday we were greeted with the news not only that nightclub chaplains are being employed to preach the 'good word' to clubbers across the country, but also that the Church has decided to re-brand itself 'JC:UK'...

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a certain resemblance between this and the 'Catholicism - Wow!' campaign in Kevin Smith's 'Dogma'???

Hrmmmm... Conjurs up images of bearded men in fluffy jumpers saying "so, let's talk about God and you..."

(What do you Christian types think about all this??? A welcome change or crackpot plot based on a cult movie?)
