Brain picking time!

Welcome back, Whitby goers! The giant straws sounded like fun but the whole one-in-one-out entry thing must have been a bit of a fiasco. I spent my weekend as an inflatable, handing out sweets to drunken loons and letting small children beat me up with scythes. There were some spectacular fireworks, hilarious photos, crazy video games and a messed up film about Tattoos, which was good but had a plot twist that we could see coming a mile off.

At work, I used some time to finish off my definitive guide to the museum and I need you all to help me test it out. It mostly centres around the Victorian period because that's what we have left in the museum but it's all about the justice system, courtrooms, life in prison, crimes and punishments for crimes. Ask me something you'd actually like to know about any of them. If you catch me out then I've obviously gone wrong but I'm unlikely to give you exact details unless it relates to a case from this county.

Filmage...

Last night I watched the most excellent Spun which is about - uh - nothing much really. Some people take some speed and drive around a bit. But it was beautifully directed and I loved the way they'd use the camera and sound effects. The two cops showed exactly what it would have been like if Simon Pegg and Dave Grohl had been in the Beasties 'Sabotage' video, which was pretty awesome. Actually, now I come to think of it, Spaced was filmed in pretty similar style. So yeah, watch it if you fancy an evening zoning out in front of the TV WTF-ing at Mickey Rourke.

I was actually going to write about something much more important then but I've forgotten what it was.
