I can't make up my mind about Torchwood, I like it & it's probably one of the few shows in recent memory from the conglomerate known as the BBC that's been worth watching. But parts of it just seem so wrong! The two main character (annoyingly charasmatic American leader, probably chosen to increase the value of exporting the show to America) plus the down-to-earth girl-next-door from down the Valleys (to make Welsh people, feel national connection?) combined with the Political Correctness journalistic approach which seems to be flowing with Pro-Gay tendencies. Casual conversations among builders about why Polish immigrants are so vital & useful to our economy, make me cringe a lot of the time.
It's really bloody silly, but I do enjoy it. The CSI-esque city landscape shots of Cardiff beauty spots is amusing too. PLUS OHMYGOD THE STRANGE WATERFOUNTAIN IS A SECRET ENTRANCE TO A LAIR!!!!
PS it bugs me how they're the elite group of Government who have the security presence equal to that of an unlocked Spar at midnight in Splott. They have the most advanced technology in the world - and you can walk out the door with anything you please - come on
