A little late, but never mind...

Oh WOW! I've just been to crazy Christmas town! Apparently, they have some kind of charitable-but-bonkers light competition every year. It's like Blackpool illuminations, but tackier. Almost every house has joined in!
Check this out:

This is the same house from the other side. If you look closely, you'll see a 6 foot Santa to the left of the big Christmas tree. He says "Hello! Would you like to hear a Christmas song?" and sings continuously. He sounds like Brian Blessed.

Then there's this house. It's COVERED in those big plasic old school decorations and, rather scarily, they've dressed up some of their conifer trees and put giant light-up Santa heads on top of them.

This is the same house from a little further away.

This one's actually quite pretty, but bonkers. See that little square in the middle? Thats an illuminated nativity scene. And the blobs on either side are full size 3D oxen. It takes a special kind of crazy to build something like that.
I am *sooooo* going back to see them switch it all on next year!
