I know the two blokes in that programme, and indeed most the diggers as well! Always amused me that one of the diggers (with big scraggly hair) is actually a rather reknown archaeologist... unlike the two presenters ;-)

There's another one that amused me on there - lass with short brown hair and big jugs digging in the background... she passed out in my flat several times after taking too many narcotics ;-) I was rather suprised to see her playing at Archaeology, she certainly wasn't studying it back then (but that was a very long time ago).
I caught a Tench once, on holiday in Ireland when I was 11. Your picture really dosn't convey the inordinate quantities of slime these things produce (they also have small tentacles around the mouth).
Aaargh! You've managed to remind me of something I read once about cooking with hagfish slime. Apparently it's full of protein and you can use it in place of egg white. Yum yum yum.
