Tonight:
The Madness of Prince Charming
In this remarkably frank portrait, 80s icon Adam Ant reflects on his glory days, his spectacular fall from grace, and the depression that's haunted him for more than 30 years.
Channel 4, 9:00
Ooo! It was good, wasn't it?
***
Also, has anyone been watching 'Spine Chillers' on BBC 3? Laughed my arse off last week when they showed a story about goths who paint their entire house black, furnish it with black things, and even dye the milk for their tea black to match... (Mackenzie Crook looks *so* cute with a big 80s hairdo and PVC trousers!)
Goths
Monday 14 July 9pm
Welcome to the lives of a hapless pair of young North London goths. However seriously they take themselves, it's all rather pathetic. They worship evil, menace, darkness, death, then travel home on the top deck of the 73 bus.
The two are in search of a flat to rent and can't believe their luck when their new landlord, Balfus, appears to be an awesome uber-goth.
Writer David Cummings (also author of Happiness, Kevin And Perry Go Large, The Fast Show) said: "I wrote Goths because of the fact that many youth cultures seem to come and go, but there's still a burgeoning Goth scene. There's something inherently funny about people who embrace the macabre as a lifestyle choice.
There's also something about the cult of the macabre from the safety of someone's bedroom but, if something macabre really does happen, are you able to cope with it?"
Find out the gruesome, goth-ly truth for yourself...
Goths stars Mark Heap, Tim Plester and Mackenzie Crook (from The Office).
