Oh Wow. This is awesome. Teeny tiny ikkle Lilliputian shops. Very handy for discovering the names of places you've bought stuff from and making up sensible directions.

On the other hand - bah. Buffalo shoes have totally closed down (and seem to have moved their HQ to Germany - although I couldn't find any chunky trainers in the German shops) *and* the GordonJack shop doesn't have a website. Can someone please point me in the direction of a shop selling boot-style platform trainers (not Swears - they're too clompy).

http://www.jamesandjames.com seems to stock GordonJack trainers... Del got a nice pair of chunky Roxy trainers (which look just like rebranded GordonJacks) from a shop called New Touch in Tavistock in Devon; she thinks there's a branch in Exeter as well. Probably a bit too far afield, but best I can do...

I tried there but they only stock the shoe trainers and not the boot trainers. Boo. I know people in Exeter though so that might be worth investigating. Cheers.

Ah, the ones Del has are shoe trainers, albeit nice chunky ones. Dunno about chunky boot trainers...
