Last week, I was bombarded with links to this guy's scanner photography project. I'm sure you've all seen it, and if not, where were you?

Anyway, I thought that scanner photography might be quite a cool thing to try. Until I read the instructions on making the camera and then I decided it was all too much bother. But after a conversation with lee_chaos about photocopiers and that website about scanning cats I figured I didn't really need a camera to do some experiments.


So here's the first. Pretty strange, huh? Vaguely reminiscent of Rubber Johnny...


So weird.


I don't really know what I was thinking in this one. It's not that odd but I put it in because it made me laugh.


Teeth. They look revolting, don't they? They're not that colour in real life, I swear!


This one is sort of pretty, in a way...


OK. Now here's where things start to go a bit weird again.


I discovered you could get some really odd effects by not moving that much at all.


Eeep! This one was almost so brilliant!

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to scan yourself and post your pictures here. Go on. You know you're going to be bored in the office later.

wow! that is my plan for tomorrow! mwahaha.
theres a photo copy machine in my library, hehe. i can imaginethe faces of the old folks reading their papers and me photocopying my face!

Hahaha! Awesome! If it's a black and white photocopier then you might end up with just a nose as things further away from the glass will just turn into darkness but you can do some really weird things with hands and fingers. Also, set it to A3 paper so you have more space to play with.
