Note to self: Turn the computer off now...

Failed to do anything even remotely productive this evening. didn't find anywhere shiny and new to live- although I did find this Beaver and Steve Cartoon about house hunting.

What? It's almost the same thing. Not my fault if Google doesn't work properly.*

Ah, if only I could find somewhere so spacious. I wouldn't mind the wall at all...

*Speaking of which, switch to BlackGoogle and help save the world. Seriously. Click it. It's not a joke or anything.

That's one hell of a good idea, shame it's registered to some bloke in Crewe so google will be shutting it down soon.

I've bee using www.Blackle.com which is the same thing, only problem is it doesn't have the image/map/other stuff tabs on the search bar. Still saves some energy when doing text searches though.

it only saves energy if you use crt.

lcd & tft use more energy displaying black than they do displaying white.

they're backlit.

the charge that is put through the lcds to turn them black is not present when the screen is white.

ergo it uses more energy than normal.

cathode ray tube monitors need more power to display a white screen than a black one, hence websites like blackle and blackgoogle.

Oh I get you. So on my massive monitor at work I should use Blackle, but on my LCD at home no Blackle. What does tft stand for?

yup.

tft = thin film transistor
