Rather interestingly it seems as though those of you who miss TV Links might be able to watch stuff completely legally using Hulu and NBC.com. I also know that 4OD is now showing the highlights from Channel 4's last 25 years of programming (although last time I checked that they were charging a few pence per download).

Anyone else want to contribute some legal and above board website addresses?

Oh - and the whole point of this post was actually to let you all know that the BBC have seen fit to make the first episode of the Mighty Boosh Series 3 available on download. It's pretty disappointing to be honest - the Hitcher makes another appearance as a generic cockney badguy (who they appear not to recognise) when a new character would have been far more entertaining, Tony Harrison says 'this is an outrage' and the whole thing has moved over to Naboo's shop with no explaination as to why they're suddenly working there. There's also some use of really shoddy greenscreen/CGI when an eel pops out of someone's mouth - it would have been much more in keeping with the Boosh ethic to be a rubbishy sock puppet.

It seems as though this series is going to make Vince Noir the 'cool one' (it's grounding him in real life London through things like the constant mentioning of real life band names) and Howard Moon is going to be the figure of fun - there's no witty banter between the two as Howard is picked on a ridiculed by most of the regular characters (who seem to grow fewer by the series). It's all going to go a bit 'Little Britain' as familiar characters pop up to dispense their catchphrases.

With any luck I'm wrong and it's just a poor start. The next episode will be packed with strange bits. I liked Pete Neon...
