It could be worse, I've known plenty of people who work for Cadbury's, they get to use the staff shop, which has even more ridiculous discounts. Years ago, when food safety laws were less strict, they were allowed to eat as much as they liked whilst in the factory, but weren't supposed to take any off site.
Hrrrm. I was talking to someone whose mother used to work there and they dropped easter eggs down the stairs because they got to take the broken ones home for free. I wonder who that was???
The problem I have with these things is that I know no restraint, and I *have* munched my way through a dozen without pause. This does not a feeling of comfort give.
"Ooh look! A chocolate shop! So shiny and new!" "I haven't really got time but..." "Mmmmm. Choc-o-late!" "Shall I nip up to the cashpoint? Bit far, isn't it?" "Ah well. If I buy £5 worth on my card, I'll eat it eventually..."
So far, I've only had 4 creme eggs, which I think is remarkably restrained of me... Particularly as Cadbury's own Bassets and I now posess the biggest bag of jelly babies in the world! (Muhahaha!)
When I was there, the nearest thing to good music was downstairs in The Bay! Or PMT, but it was only on a few times, and I was too scared to go on my own.
Mind you, I really didn't like The Glen as a 'club' venue, although maybe it wouldn't be quite so packed on an alternative night.
If I was within easy travel distance, I'd come along :)
I assume the prices are still the same so set up your own racket selling Underground shoes at 75% rrp to cover your own brothel creeper deficit. You might even have enough left over to buy a new cowboy hat.
hmmmm cadbury....hmmmmmmmchooooooooccccooooollllllaaaattttttteeeee now i am hungry.... also- note icon silliness. i figured you at least would get a laugh on that one
