Mostly for [livejournal.com profile] flowdeeps, here is a guide to 'Metal Band Names'. It's nice to see that they filed Cradle of Filth under 'Death/Pleas for Help/Adolescent Poetry' :)

Right click and choose 'View' to fit on your screen!

In other news, is it just me, or are there no decent films destined for release this year? The Christmas offereings were pitiful (not to mention almost identical) and the only things I've seen advertised recently are Underworld 2 and Tom Cruise as some sort of Nazi or something... Is there actually going to be any reason to go to the cinema this year?

Watchmen!

But there's loads of old black and white sci-fi films just *dying* to be re-made with wooden rubbish actors and slashed plots. What about Cage in Quatermass & The Pit? And what were those 12 body parts?

There's a wonderful facebook group dedicated to ridiculous band names called Titles of Fear:

To be perfectly honest though they do other stuff too but the metal band names made me guff with delight.

Valkyrie.
Apparently the only bad thing about the entire movie (which is supposed to be amazing) is Herr Cruise. Hardly surprising though.

Watchmen and Wolverine have already been mentioned but I also want to see the Star Trek movie, Terminator Salvation and Monsters Vs Aliens this year :o)

By the way Underworld: Rise of the Lycans would be the Underworld 3, though lets be honest the second film is truly worth forgetting/ignoring.

whilst probably not something you'll be interested in, The Wrestler is very good indeed. regardless of the subject in hand, Aronofsky has never disappointed.

led has covered many remakes and sequels (although not all of them) but some of them do look promising. Terminator 4, as mentioned above, for one.

we've also got the new Tarrantino and hopefully Wes Anderson's take on Fantastic Mr Fox to look forward to as well as Burton's Alice In Wonderland.

as for the guide to band names, very amusing! however, is there really a Mexican Santa in the book of Revelations? i'd say they need a whole new sub-heading for fantasy/mythical. also, what the hell are Death From Above doing on there?

Angel Queef and Satan's Awkward Gropings are two of the best band names i've heard in ages, though.
