Fat Larry Newt died from a digestive disorder yesterday. I was expecting it, but it was still very upsetting.

Thanks everybody... Fat Larry Newt was an actual newt, the alpha male of the group... He had always had digestive problems and so there is no danger to the others...

Now that Larry has gone, I will be introducing Nigel the rescue newt to the group... (He is *sooo* tiny I was afraid Larry would kill him - he already took Gary's leg off...)

Nigel? Noooooo - he's about the right size to give the other two a decent meal at the moment: the school nerd of newts (he could probably beat them hands down in a maths exam, but they would quite happily rough him up by the bins at lunch break).
