Binding, Birthdays and the Tin Can Man...

It's lunchtime, I'm hanging around waiting for a man to turn up for a meeting about manhole covers and I'm bored, so I've decided to do another 'stuff wot I have done' bulletin :
Friday - Attended what might possibly be described as the worst fetish night in the history of all time ever... Despite being a nice venue, which had hired in dancers and performers and constructed a cage, both the ticket and bar prices were extortionate. Which probably explains why no-one turned up. And things were only made worse when the CD player refused to play anything all the way through in one go, despite the most valiant efforts of
xxxrated By 1.30, not even free aftershock could cheer me up, so I went home and watched 'Dirty Sanchez' instead...
Weekend - Went to a workshop on traditional flat-back binding, which sounds filthy, but is actually to do with books. Very interesting too.
Tuesday - After a very long chat to the lovely
gommog, I slipped through a time warp and spent an evening in the Tavi for Ponty Chris's birthday. Didn't make it to the Welsh, but went back to 46 instead to watch Rich, Chris and Andy smash steel chairs over each others heads and bodyslam poor Esther (who happened to walk past at the wrong time) into the couch!
Wednesday - Spent the day at the Corus tinplate works at Trostre finding out everything there is to know about tin cans from a *very* boring man. Although his history of canned beer was quite interesting, I'd like to know exactly HOW you can get so excited about tin cans. I mean - they're tin cans for God's sake!
Got drunk on cheap wine at Megan's to make up for it...
Thursday - Went out for food at some swanky modern coffee shop type eatery which used to be quite a good tandoori with my ex-housemates. Food was good but the service was appauling... I don't think it's too much to ask that the table staff working in a restaurant should know what the things on the menu actually are and don't wander off halfway through taking an order and not come back...
