"Give quiche a chance?"

Waaah! I'm *so* hungry! And the only food in the office is quiche! Quiche! It tastes like fluff on a sponge (sometimes with onions). The horror!

quiche is lovely :) mmmm, yumyum yum.
esp when its proper home made ones!

I only eat quiche when I'm at a work-related buffet, am dying of starvation and there's absolutely nothing else that's vegi. I prefer to think of it as being pastry with liquidised vomit.

Quiche is the work of some twisted scientist and if you eat it you will turn into the big bad "I SAID NO!!!" from stop-it and tidy-up

you have been warned!!!!

I make lovely quiches! Grilled chicken, asparagus and swiss cheese is very nice.

So is roasted red pepper, black olive and asiago quiche.

Or plain old spinach, mushroom and cheddar cheese.

I'll bet I could convert you! ;)

That sounds awesome, quiche is the way forward and everyone who says otherwise is a fussy whinge bag.

[identity profile] griff-wolf.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 02:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I like the goats cheese quiches you can get ... hmmmmmm yum!

[identity profile] griff-wolf.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 02:39 pm (UTC)(link)
some quiche's are rank ... especially the shop bought ones where the pastry has gone soggy *shudder* but a proper home made one which is all crisp and firm and non squishy ... them's be good'uns!

And far less ick than snails!

[identity profile] dorkmistresshnt.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd agree with you there on all accounts. Quiche good, snails bad.

Hear hear! Quiche is my favorite quick 'n easy dinner.

I've never tried it, but I've seen recirpes for brie and leek quiche. Yum!

[identity profile] griff-wolf.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)
goats cheese works great ... tis softer and more flavoursome than most cow cheeses and gives a really distinct taste. usually if I`m making one, I just cut thick slices of goats cheese to go on teh top and let them melt as they want

Just think of it as pie. Mmmm. Piiiee!

[identity profile] 50-ft-queenie.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 03:26 pm (UTC)(link)
No, no....lovely light savoury custard on a flaky pastry crust. ;)

[identity profile] 50-ft-queenie.livejournal.com 2006-01-20 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)

Quiche? Quiche is like pizza but with a really unappetising topping.

So no surprise you scoff it right down.

[identity profile] uv-lue.livejournal.com 2006-01-23 10:23 am (UTC)(link)
quiche is really nice. but not as a meal...better as a finger buffet type thing. and the whole "unappetising topping" thing is only right if you buy no frills type quiche. if you buy really expensive M&S quiche it's proper tasty.
