Fear my organisational skills!

Yesterday morning the sum total of my weeks of effort to organise a christmas concert amounted to:
1) a venue
2) one member of the clergy.

This afternoon I have managed to magically produce seating, staging, readers, a team of stewards and first aiders, free christmas trees - and full insurance cover and risk assessments. I've managed to convince the council not to charge us for a public entertainment licence AND I've just managed to book Meriel Andrew to come and sing 'O Mio Babbino Caro'. (How brilliant is that?)

*phew*

Tomorrow I shall be producing publicity material and an order of service and searching for a PA system and some musicians.^[1]

[1] This is an incredibly subtle hint. (I can offer financial compensation to anyone who might be able to lend services or equipment for 14th Dec... sorcha? xxxrated? bias?)

Aftershow at ours really. As I have said to Gary. Bring beer, bring fun, you can bring drugs if you like, but I doubt you'd want to, so the other two will be good.

I was thinking about extending an idea we had about buying silly board games and taking them to Slimes to play at 7 in the morning.. shit like connect 4 and buckaroo. I think it's a great idea, and I want silly games on obscene amounts of drugs at my housewarming. Now that will be fun. It would be even funnier if Dave manages to get us any mescaline. Picture the scene...

"Well I think put the little yellow disk in the blue square thing, and then it turned red and disappeared."

"No Lue, that was me winning and emptying the game to start again"

"OK, so why are there still disks in the square and why is it melting across the carpet"

and so on and so forth...
